Every season I look forward to viewing Alexander Wang's pieces. He is one of my favorite designers, I have one of his Tcollection sweaters hanging in my closet as we speak. But this season was deeply disappointing. Why? Because there was something missing, something that defines Wang. The one thing that was missing was the color black. Wang is known as the prince of downtown darkness for his overuse of the color black, but this season was white, white, white -- and white is far from my favorite color. Though there were hints of pastels and gold.
Wang's collection consisted of over-sized sweaters, jackets, and pants. Very Alexander.
It was honestly hard to pick my favorite looks of this collection, but here are a few.
I picked these 8 looks because these garments still scream Alexander Wang. They still scream the name of the brilliant young designer we all love. Though come this February I really hope to see something a bit more exciting.
