Yesterday while reading American Vogue I came across the name of a new designer, Laquan Smith. Contributing Editor of American Vogue, Andre Leon Talley, wrote about his 15 garment collection inspired by the Palace of Versailles and Marie Antoinette. My best friend Bee and I's all time favorite movie is Marie Antoinette staring Kirsten Dunst, so I quickly became intrigued and wanted to see this collection. I found a few pictures, and after viewing the clothes the only conclusion I can come up with is that Mr. Smith is a very talented designer who is on his way of glamorous success. Keep your eye on this one because he isn't far from becoming a household name.

I love how they're so modern, but you can still tell exactly what they were inspired by.
