Derek Lam is California minimalism at its best! Lam opened with a few stunning full denim pieces. Denim you say? "But that's so last year!" It's so last year, but Derek Lam is bringing it back and it's not such a bad thing. The first piece to be shown on the runway was a dark blue wool turtle neck sweater with a full denim trench coat. Fashion at its best.
For Derek this season everything was about business casual and loose fitting... everything. Also this season was very feminine with high-waisted pants and sexy, playful sun dresses. My favorite looks from the runway.
This season was on of Derek Lams' best, I just hope come this February his collection is just as good because now I have high hopes.
