Crimson & Clover

Rock n' Roll is a secret love of mine. Well, not so much of a secret, but a passion. Bob Dylan and Joan Jett just to name a few. It's really a secret desire of mine to become a rock star. I often ponder about what it would have been like if I was born in the 50's and grew up as a teenager in the 70's and 80's. I would be perched front row jamming too The Runaways, watching them live, (I have a thing for badass women in rock bands), and listening to Bob Dylan, it's such a wonderful feeling.
This young whipper snapper photoed above is my grandmother, cute isn't she? While staying the weekend at her house she gave me the most wonder present in the entire world. Three boxes full of vintage, un-remastered albums all on vinyl. My grandmother was a wild one in her day. She was the mom that loved Rock n' Roll when all parents were supposed to think it was devil music. Well she encouraged the devil music in her house! As I had said, most wonderful gift ever.

One of the three boxes, there were over 200 in that box alone.
I found so many great finds, and in the first box in particular I found Bob Dylan (Top Left), Blondie (Top Right), Joan Jett and the Blackhearts (bottom). When I go over to my grams and gramps' house, I don't get cookies and cake, I get vintage records damn it.
You can also find me at, Tumblr, Twitter, and Facebook!

Totally love this post. Vinyls are the best, sometimes I don't understand why we ever switched.

Bob Dylan and Joan Jett are sooo great. Bob Dylan or Johnny Cash usually accompany on my way to class!

p.s. You have a kick ass G-ma!

Yes!! I agree, to be born in a different time period sounds wonderful! as for me, I always wanted to be a teenager in the 60's so I could dance to The Kinks and wear scooter dresses and have big hair...wait I do that already!
Great post and pics, Marcus! I really like the concept of your blog.
