Ode To All Things Carine Roitfeld

A few days ago I learned the news of French Vogue Editor, Carine Roitfeld, leaving her position at the magazine after 10 years of loyal service. I've read about 20 articles thus far and upon reading the articles I've also read the comments. I've come to find that upon reviewing the comments, that most people are not sad to see her go, saying things like, "Thank god it's not Anna [Wintour] or else it would be the end of Vogue forever." and other things like, "Everybody knows she wants to be like Anna [Wintour] and couldn't be, so I'm not surprised she's leaving." Obviously these people know nothing of the industry, and they obviously have never done proper research on Carine.
I'm here to give my opinion, which I do well. Carine was known as the most powerful figure in French Fashion. She is a legend and she took pride in her work. Her styling is superb and she has changed the way people view fashion. Carine herself has said that she never wanted to be an editor, styling was always her passion, so that is why Carine styled most of the shoots within the glossy pages of French Vogue. For people to not see the genius in Carine is to not see the genius within the Vogue family. Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld, Franca Sozzani, and many others have the power to sell clothes like no other magazine can. They hold the power to make or break a designer, and they have the power to transform clothes into works of art.

Let's take a look at what I think are some of Carine's most memorable editorials from French Vogue

To say that Carine had no talent, would have to be said out of pure envy. Carine will be missed, at least from me. I do wish her a prosperous career wherever she decides to work next.

She truly was magnificent wasn't she?

I love the way she styled these, jealousy doesn't even begin to describe what I'm feeling :P

Lol..I was wishing it was Anna instead of Carine!
Her editorials were far more innovative and thought provoking than American Vogue's snoozeville spreads that are targeted at 50+ year old housewives with deep pockets.
Paris knows the impact of Carine and she will be missed on this side of the pond.

Good round-up of photos Marcus!

I honestly LOVE Carine so much more than Anna. Is that a terrible thing to say? I think it's because Carine is so much more HUMAN than Anna seems to be... She will be missed, she was one of the only reasons I was such an avid reader of French Vogue. Lovely post, Marcus!

I have a gateway mx6421 with windows xp I keep getting the blue death screen which does not stay up long enough for me to get an error code. I have tried to uninstall drivers remove programs and system restore and none have worked. I have tried reinstalling windows xp and it states I am running a newer version (which isn't true). I have done virus scans, disc scans and the blue screen as usual shuts the computer down. I would do a system recovery however I do not have the disc (gateway did not give them) I have tried preforming it from the D drive however once I put in the operating disc which came with the computer it makes it to 18% and the damn blue screen shuts it down. If anyone can help me I'd appreciate it. I just want my computer back and my computer to stop shutting down.
