Chanel, The Strokes, and Magazines

I'm currently in the process of switching bedrooms. One that is bigger, so if it seems like I've been distant from blogging it's because I certainly have been. It's not that I've become bored with blogging, just that I've had other things on my plate. I've also spent plenty of time reviewing the pre-fall 2011 collections. One stunning collection after another. Chanel and their byzantine inspired collection was immaculate. Of course, Karl could almost never disappoint an avid fashion follower like myself. My favorite look from Chanel pre-fall 2011.
The slit shoulders really did me in as far as loving this look. I'm not a fan of the color, but there is no denying it's a stunning blue. The line and the silhouette of the garment would make any women feel fantastic, and the square, pretentious, beaded edging gives it that signature Chanel feel we all know and love. After viewing this collection I'm very excited to see the fall collection due out this February.
In music related news I read via Rollingstone Magazine that The Strokes are releasing a new album that is due out next year. I don't think I've ever been more eager in my life to get my hands on a music album. The Strokes are my all time favorite band, oh how I adore Julian Casablancas voice. I also read that The White Stripes are getting back together. Also one of my favorite bands, and who said 2011 wasn't going to be a good year?

Let's Play a Boardgame

Now that Paris Fashion Week is sadly over, it's time for me to post my most memorable runway moments. No particular order. I'm just going to let the pictures speak for themselves.

A Scent Straight From the Gods

Today I went shopping with my aunt. Not looking for anything in particular I just had some extra money and decided I was better off spending it on some new clothes. While shopping we found ourselves outside of the Chanel store in the Wynn Hotel here in good ol' Las Vegas. While we were there I spotted something I have been so desperately trying to get my hands on, something so small yet so powerful. It was Bleu de Chanel, the advertisements on TV make the scent seem so enticing, so wonderful. I sampled it and I fell in love. It smelled like god himself made the wonderful aroma. And at only $125 for 3 ounces, I think I'm in love.

Ladies, If you want your boy to smell better than the best, then invest in this cologne.

The Beginning of the New Year - Fashion Week

That's right everyone it has once again approached - the January in fashion, the new year - It's September, which means fashion week. Starting tomorrow we have nine days of none stop shows. Clothes! oh the clothes! There is only one slight problem. This year I am in college and have no time for anything other than my college work so hopefully I'll have plenty of time to review shows. For New York's fashion week I'm most excited for Vera Wang and Donna Karan. As for London I'm only looking forward to Burberry. Now Paris and Milan are different stories, I will most likely review every show during their fashion weeks. Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Valentino, Prada, Lanvin, the list goes on and on... I think I'm in love, with clothes that is.

I thought I would take the time to go back in time and look at my favorite looks from the 2009-2010 Sping/Summer Fashion season.

Don't ask me why I chose nine looks, nine just sounded good at the time, but god those are such stunning ensombles. But what kind of fashion blog would this be if I didn't post some beautiful, gorgeous, stunning, magnificant shoes? Who could ever forget the show stopper at the Alexander McQueen show? The Armadillo Stiletto. They send shivers down my spine.




Those shoes are beyond amazing, there are no words for shoes like those. I would give my first born child just to try a pair on. They are breath taking.

Also I thought since we are approaching the Fall Season I would dig up an one of my all time favorite fall collections. Ever. This is John Galliano's 2009 Fall/Winter show. It's only the first part, but it's still a wonderful show.
